The Project, Programme and Portfolio Offices (P3O)® Manual is more Guidance than methodology as such to help organisations understand what they need to do to be successful providing these Offices. The Support term from the traditional Project Support Office has been dropped deliberately as many of the models in the publication look at where the Portfolio Office might lead the Programmes, Projects and other activities.
A very helpful read if you are thinking about what sort of capability might be right for you, what it could provide, how you could justify it and how to go about putting it in place. The PRINCE2©, MSP® and MoR® methodologies underpin this publication and it effectively sits on top of their practical operation.
