We licence the entire MSP manual and provide almost all of it within our MSP Method template including the usual process diagrams as well as an extensive practical set of templates and guidance materials built into the processes, principles and themes to help keep your practice authentic.
Of course with PROJECT in a box you can customise/personalise the methodology and guidance to suit your business process, culture and terminology. The MSP Method template is standard with Enterprise Edition and available for Community Edition and Personal Edition at £75+vat and for Small Team Edition at £500+vat, great value if you are looking to adopt the methodology.
Live linking with projects
PROJECT in a box provides you with a unique environment for project and programme interaction. Your projects and your programmes all exist on the same server and can be auto linked for document sharing, reporting, notifications and other activities.
You can even live share documents between projects and programmes for example your programme plan and benefits register can be live shared into each underlying project and notifications set so that individual PMs are automatically notified of changes which they can then view. Similarly the Programme team can have live access to the risk logs, plans, finances in fact any document of each (or particular) projects to keep information flowing smoothly. Of course all of these sharing possibilities are under permissions management control, so you can control how it is used.
Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)® is the big brother to PRINCE2© and provides a similar process environment to help you through the steps required to set up and successfully deliver a programme.
MSP assumes that the underlying projects within the programme are being managed using PRINCE2 or a similar/derivative approach using management by exception and instead focuses its efforts on governance and aligning the he objectives and benefits of the programme with the parent organisation(s). Due to the nature of the activities it I designed for it is less widely adopted than PRINCE2 but an understanding of its approach can be helpful in even small organisations delivering aligned sets of projects.
