Software Client
Our .NET software client gives you the best of both worlds. As a software application running on your PC/laptop it can interact well with the desktop environment allowing drag and drop and interaction with your local Outlook account.
The software client connects back to the server using web services so it can be used over a local network, a VPN or over the web. The software client can also be installed in program files in a traditional mode or used without admin permissions from a user’s my documents area (see Portability for further info).
This flexibility of use means highly mobile individuals like PMs, consultants, site engineers etc who may have previously had to use a Browser client can access rich functionality from any windows PC with a web connection.
Smart Phone Client
With so many people having a smart phone and wanting latest live access to their project and programme information a mobile interface is a great advantage.
You can access the Browser client from your smart phone allowing you to follow up on notification emails received while you are out of the office and if you are a Manger licence user you can even produce and publish new Dashboard, Project and Portfolio reports while on the go.
Browser Client
The pure browser client requires no plugins and is supported on a wide range of browser types giving very easy universal access to the entire project audience to a core set of functionality.
The capability available to each user when they log in is determined by a combination of the licences attributed to them and their permissions level on the project they select.
Users visiting the browser client and wanting more capability can deploy the full software client from here in one its portable deployment modes should they wish to.
