Project Management Services packages

All PROJECT in a box software comes with a bundled project management services packages which are summarised here:

Community and Personal Editions and Planner

Support is provided to all users at no charge.  Personal edition upgrades must be purchased but are free on Community Edition and Planner.

Small Team Edition

Support and upgrades are included free for the first year with your purchase price, Subsequent extensions for further years are charged at 20% of your current licence value.  In addition to the technical support and installation support via web meeting two hours of on-line training or consultation are included for free and can be extended if you wish.

Enterprise Edition

Support and upgrades are included free for the first year with your purchase price, Subsequent extensions for further years are charged at 20% of your current licence value.  In addition to the technical support and installation support via web meeting eight hours of on-line training or consultation are included for free and can be extended if you wish or converted into a classroom training day by paying T&S.

Live Edition

Hosting, support and upgrades are included free within your annual service price.  In addition five hours of on-line training or consultation are included for free and can be extended if you wish.


Product Skills Training

Skills training is a popular part of the project management services offering.  Product training is optional and many customers teach themselves how to use our products.  It is common to start with our free tools first and the familiarity through Editions makes this an easier adoption and learning process.

Classroom  training

Larger customers looking to implement PROJECT in a box will usually include at least one day of classroom training in their order and see the benefits of this when rolling out.

Our trainers are experienced project managers in their own right as well as having a deep knowledge of the products to make sure you get good practical advice on getting the most from your software.  If helpful we can train around one of your existing projects or can schedule discussions into the training agenda.

To minimise the time and cost to your team we always come to you and can offer a number of different course configurations to suit the audience.  Training costs are £1,000+vat+T&S.

We have provided Classroom training throughout the UK and in a number of international locations for both new customers and extension/refreshers for existing customers.

Web based

Classroom training doesn’t match the needs of our full range of users which is why we offer a great value alternative in web based training.

Our desktop sharing/ web conferencing software allows us to share viewing and control of PROJECT in a box training environment with a user (or group of users) on-line so the tutor can demonstrate how to use the products and delegates can watch, ask questions and even try for them selves.

This is a great environment for  one to one training of individual PMs or administrators or Personal Version users and can be a helpful follow on from classroom training to helps a new team member catch up.

This capability also opens up mentoring, workshops and other more freeform learning modes which can usually be arranged at very short notice enabling training to be provided at the point of demand not just scheduled in for weeks ahead.

The list price is £100+vat for a one hour session.  You can purchase by the hour from our on-line store or include it in your order.

 


Implementation Consultancy

You can implement PROJECT in a box yourself if you want to.  PROJECT in a box has been designed, documented and supported with that in mind.  In fact we actively encourage this as it keeps the costs down but more importantly gives you the ‘ownership’ of the system and your personalised methods.

Personalisation and Branding

You can have your logos and colour scheme included in all your project templates. Also in your navigation diagrams, produced reports and the browser client (Enterprise Hub).  This will help you with adoption and brand projection.

You can do this easily with the tools we provide but sometimes customers ask us to do it to get them up and running as quickly as possible.

Varies from hours to a few days of work depending on the scope and undertaken in our offices to reduce the cost.

Customised Development

Depending on the maturity of your reporting or project management systems you may require something non standard.  Possibly you have some additional existing dashboards, reports or other formats you want to display as outputs from the system.

We can provide you with addins built using the existing reporting toolkit to do this.  We can also add additional data elements and webservices to the system to support your integration requirements.

As part of our Project management services we deliver such work either fixed price or on day rates as required.

Methodology Customisation

The project management services most often requested is to help customers with their methodology.  First of all customers want to customise the standard methodologies to match their own particular circumstances. They also want to populate their existing bespoke methodology into a PROJECT in a box method template.

Taking your existing project management manual and producing a Method Template for use in PIAB is a relatively quick process. As a result your project teams can step seamlessly into electronic storage and management of their projects.

If you don’t have an existing manual and procedures but would like one, our project management services can help.  We can take PRINCE2© or another standard and customise it to match your needs. Adopting your existing terminology, business processes and other governance requirements within the structure.  At a basic level we can assist you with the mechanical steps of building the method templates. We can also act as an external change agent helping you look at best practice from elsewhere.  Helping you to make sure the method(s) used to deliver your projects fit your business objectives.

 


Methodology training

Many customers come to us asking for a solution approach to include software and integrated or supporting methodology/skills training.

We do not provide methodology or skills training ourselves.  Instead we work closely with a number of highly effective training companies to provide standard courses. In addition we can also provide modules or blended solutions to meet your requirements.

Hosting Service

Some of the PROJECT in a box products like Live Edition and YourPMO are naturally SaaS.  Hosting and provision over the internet are part of the pricing of these products.  However we can also host Small Team Edition and Enterprise Edition for customers if they wish.  Sometimes your organisations will change policies and preferences.  Maybe you purchased your software and already had it hosted in-house.  However now you need it to be hosted and provided as a service.  Therefore as part of the service we will assist in on-boarding and service switch over.
