This tab allows you to specify how Microsoft Project .mpp files are read into your reports. The current options are:
- Plugin - this uses a plugin to read .mpp files. The product is shipped with the mppmpxj plugin, which uses the Open Source MPXJ system.
- OleDb - this uses the Microsoft Windows JET driver. It only works with the 2003 format of .mpp files (or older) and only in 32 bit. If using this mode then please specify the name of the OleDB provider in the box provided.
- COM - if you have a copy of Microsoft Project on your PC then you can use the COM interop functionality to read .mpp files.
The plugin name is to enter in the Plugin field is the name of the plugin DLL without the file extension. Plugin DLLs are placed in the 'plugins' folder of the program installation folder. Some plugins require other secondary DLLs which are normall placed in the 'bin' folder.
