'piabx' is a PROJECT in a box's XML-based file format for storing project documentation. The concept is that the PMO will create (or copy and modify) piabx files as standard project file templates, and that project officers will edit the data within, without changing the structure. Features include:

• Customisable by the PMO
• Simple structure
• Editable directly in the browser, or on the desktop
• Can be mixed and matched with other file types (Word, Excel etc.) on the same project
• Information can easily be imported into or exported from piabx files for reporting and other purposes
• Easy to preview in HTML or print
• Desktop app available for view and edit
