2009 sees the enhancements to Community Edition coming thick and fast. It is now completely redesigned as a .NET application capable of running as a portable application, it now provides multi methodology support, multi language support and includes the popular DSDM Atern method as standard. This version 2.1 release caps off the functionality with the inclusion of the method hover tips and the availability of the new PRINCE2-2009 method template. This include the official OGC template pack plus a range of further value adding templates and tools from the author of the OGC template pack, exclusive to Community Edition. As usual this is wrapped with high quality process diagrams and now comes with an extended library capability. Post a review of the new CE on a public website or forum before the end of October to get yourself in the draw for a free copy of Personal Version.Register and Download now... |

Focus on trainingAs many of our users migrate to full PROJECT in a box following use of Community Edition we find users can get a lot from the system without formal training. But as with anything in life some formal training and being shown the ropes usually helps improve the performance level. Traditionally training in PROJECT in a box has been via classroom courses and whilst these still remain very popular and excellent value for multi-user customers, their very nature makes them less relevant to the Personal Version or small team user. So it should nave been no surprise to us to have seen the levels of take up for our on-line training, but have been pleasantly surprised by the degree this has been adopted by a wide range of customers both in the UK and internationally. Having a tutor join you on your PC either to guide you through standard training agendas or to go through your specific questions as a tutorial has been very popular. We are also finding customers asking us to run lunchtime briefings so that a team can find out more about aspects of their system while they each their sandwiches. With prices from £75 per hour this is also extremely good value which is why it is attracting a significant demand. If you want to find our more about all training options there is further information on the training section of our website, if you would like to discuss which option is best for you or how the modes can be blended together we would be delighted to discuss.
