Interfaces
PROJECT in a box functionality can be accessed via a number of different interfaces depending on where you are, what you want to work on in your project and what type of licence you have assigned to you. This is covered in detail in the Functionality Matrix and refers to the two main interfaces available as follows.
.NET Client
Providing a fully featured interface for use by managers or frequent team members with particular features switched by user licence type and permissions levels.
The .NET client can be permanently installed for frequent users, operated from a USB stick as a portable application or deployed from the server quickly and easily for single use depending on requirement. It connects back to the server using web services so can be operated on a network just as easily as over the web.
This .NET application provides a slick interface giving users a comfortable environment interfacing easily with desktop applications and filing systems, so often difficult from a pure browser interface.
Browser Client (Enterprise Hub)
The Browser client provides all users with access to the day to day functionality for delivering and managing projects from a pure browser interface which can be accessed from any PC, Mac, Linux computer or even smart phone.
For users with a Browser view only licence this client is quick and easy to access giving you live content quickly and from anywhere.
For the Manager or Team licence user greater capabilities are available including document changes, communications and report production depending on licence and permissions held, so you can do more wherever you are.
