Microsoft Office Applications
PROJECT in a box is already integrated with MS Office applications including Outlook, Project, Word and Excel to simplify your daily project delivery tasks. If you have other corporate standards PROJECT in a box can host these files and templates as well.
As well as working with these MS file types the system can also auto extract data for reporting from some, include versioning info in others and also index these and many other files for content search.
Web Services API
The underlying technology behind PROJECT in a box is .NET V2 using XML based web services over HTTP. This means that as well as being router and firewall friendly, a full API toolkit is available to enable integration into your existing enterprise services should you want to.
Customer access to the API is all included in the price and we will support your integration with advice, reviews and sample code as needed. This is most commonly used to add custom integrated reporting capability to the Enterprise Hub.
EPM and Share Point
PROJECT in a box provides a great tie in with EPM or Project Server. PIAB brings the best in methodology led PPM and quick to deploy reporting and EPM provides an organisation wide integrated planning and resourcing system.

Both systems share a remarkably similar technical structure and Active Directory SSO support within both allows users to move seamlessly from process, docs and reporting to plans and resourcing and backwards.
The Enterprise Hub can be hosted within the Project Web Access part of EPM providing users with immediate access to documents, process and reports and this also works just as well in Share Point with a standard PIAB Web Part being available all within the price.
Email Integration
PIAB currently supports all email systems for sending of notifications and Outlook for automated sending and returning of working files. An extension is due in 2009 to support this capability with other email systems as well.
