PROJECT in a box

Dear Colleague

This is the first Agile specific PROJECT in a box newsletter just going out to the users who downloaded Community Edition with the DSDMAtern methodology from the DSDM Consortium website.

We hope you find this useful, let us know and we  will be happy to repeat this on a more regular basis.

DSDMAtern Webinar

For many years PROJECT in a box has been leading the way in the use of video tours to promote the products and to help users understand how to get the most out of their software.  Indeed our Community Edition with DSDMAtern video tour has been a popular addition to the nearly three hours of tours available on the website

We are now extending the interactivity of the access with a series of four Webinars which will run at a range of times and dates in early August and included in the first phase will be a Webinar specifically aimed at helping Community Edition users to get the most out of working with DSDM Atern.

All the Webinars will follow the same format with 45 minutes of presentation followed by up to 30 minutes of questions.

Numbers will also be capped at 15 delegates per webinar and those attending will be provided with a 10% discount voucher for Personal Edition.

To secure your place on one of these webinars please use the links below to email us:

Tuesday 3rd August 10am (British Summer Time)

Wednesday 11th August 10am (British Summer Time)

Notify me of the future dates for the Webinar programme.

Community Edition Review

It is fifteen months since Community Edition became the first software product to provide support for DSDM Atern and this has been very well received by the community with a number of trainers providing it on their training courses and almost 1,300 copies being downloaded from the DSDM consortium website.

During the same period a further 15,000 copies of Community Edition have been made available containing the PRINCE2 and DSDMAtern methods side by side helping to introduce the Agile approaches to a wider audience.

DSDMAtern is also provided as a standard part of our commercial offerings and we have seen a steady increase in interest for the method for implementation across teams.

Agile news

This years Agile Business Conference will be further enhanced with the addition of an Agile Awards dinner.  This Innovation is a good indicator of the strength of Agile in the UK today and awards will be given in ten categories recognising the People, Projects and Products that have contributed to Agile in the UK.  If you are thinking of making a nomination then you can get the form from here but be quick the deadline is the end of July.

February saw the publication of the new DSDM Atern student handbook which should prove to be a great aide for those of you studying for a qualification or looking to implement DSDM Atern into your organisation.  The handbook is authored by Dot and Ian Tudor of TCC and available from the DSDM Consortium store.

'As Chairman of the DSDM Consortium I am thrilled to be able to introduce the Student Workbook for DSDM Atern. It complements well the Atern Manual and the various pocketbooks available and will prove a great help to those wishing to understand the DSDM Atern framework.'

Upgrade options

Personal Edition represents a big step forward in personal project management tools.   Personal Edition, like Community Edition is a fully portable files only application so you can take it with you on a USB stick and operate it from any windows PC or of course install it in the traditional sense.

In addition to the core methodology management Personal Edition gives you the ability to personalise your methods, undertake reporting and integrate with email making it a perfect companion for the PM who is on the go.  It also comes with an extended set of methods.

We know that a good proportion of our multi-user customers operate in a small team environment, either because they are a small business or as a team within a larger organisation.  So we have packaged up Small Team Edition to align with the needs of these users.

Small Team Edition provides the same full PROJECT in a box capability as Enterprise Edition and has a licence for up to twenty users all for £999+vat making it exceptional value.  We even include our Silver Services package to help you get up and running quickly with your system.
