VAT changes

On the 1st of January the rate of VAT goes back up to 17.5% from its current level at 15%.  This will apply to sales into the EU where you cannot provide us with a VAT number.

So bottom line. If you are an individual thinking of buying personal version, buying before the end of December will be cheaper than in January.

You can access the Personal Version products page or the Community Edition extensions pages using these links.

End of Term

End of term fun and games so we have collected a few bits of Project management wisdom/humour here for you:

A project is one small step for the project sponsor, one giant leap for the project manager.

Everyone asks for a strong project manager - when they get him they don't want him.

All project managers face problems on Monday mornings - good project managers are working on next Monday's problems.

If there were no problem people there'd be no need for people who solve problems.

The more ridiculous the deadline the more money will be wasted trying to meet it.

The first 90% of a project takes 90% of the time the last 10% takes the other 90%

Warning: dates in the calendar are closer than you think

A project gets a year late one day at a time.

Projects don't all fail in the end, they fail at the beginning.

Planning without action is futile, action without planning is fatal.

People make a plan work, a plan alone seldom makes people work (Confucius).
