The storyboard here provides an introduction to the screens provided within Community Edition and its associated elements. Key to Community Edition is keeping it simple so there are relatively few screens to ease navigation. To see just how easy it is view a Community Edition tour.
Community Edition launches with a Getting Started form to help point you towards your choices of opening an existing project, creating a new one or accessing the help for example. |
Community Edition comes pre populated with the full Authentic PRINCE2 methodology, processes, diagrams and templates. This makes it the perfect partner for delivering your first PRINCE2 projects after training or to support your learning experience. |
Community Edition also comes populated with the full Authentic Atern methodology, processes, diagrams and templates. Also a basic methodology guide to get you started delivering projects with an Agile approach. |
After using simple point and click to select the process you want to work on Community Edition then shows you the documents the methodology recommends you should be working with at that point. Using this file explorer view you can view the current or historic versions or check out, make changes and check in. In this way Community Edition does your configuration management for you. |
Using the configuration management tools you can generate your project documentation in an auditable and consistent manner all from the simple interface. All methods are provided with standard templates to get you up and running quickly. |
As you generate your own project documentation you can also add this in to keep all your information in context. Community Edition will accept any files including, email .msg files, powerpoint, visio and even zips allowing you to keep complex file structures such as web sites in sync. New files can be drag and dropped in for ease and you can also store hyperlinks, desktop shortcuts or add standard files from a library. |
Creating new projects couldn’t be easier, simply select the methodology you want to use from the list and a full set of blank templates are provided in the appropriate navigation structure. |
A range of personalisation options are also available including switching the interface language or moving the whole application to a portable mode so you can take it anywhere with you on a USB device or similar. |
If you get stuck we will be there to help, Community Edition has a full help system available over the web and even though it is a free product we sort it fully, giving you the confidence you use it in anger. |
A range of extensions are available for Community Edition, some free and some which you can choose to purchase including the Managing Successful Programmes method to support your MSP training or the AccessP2 method for your small low complexity projects. |
