Praise for PROJECT in a box

PROJECT in a box has an established and active user community and the following is just a selection of the positive feedback we have received over the last year or so.

Practical PRINCE2 Implementation at Toshiba

"We have now been running with PROJECT in a box for a year and it is used by a core team on around twenty projects.  However with the Outlook integration facilities we can easily share documents with team members such as external contractors who don't have access to the system.  I would say this file based nature is one of the system's greatest advantages" - Richard Saywell, Toshiba Information Systems (UK)

Now you can read the full case study as published in the December 2006 Issue of Project Manager Today.

Review in Project Manager Today

Professional Edition review in Project Manager Today Jan 06

PROJECT in a box was also the subject of an excellent review by Steve Cotterell in Project Manager Today magazine (Jan 2006 Edition). The review concludes with the opinion " I was impressed by PIAB-PE, it does what it sets out to do and takes a lot of the pain out of PRINCE2™". For those of you who don't subscribe to PM Today we have included the review (941Kb) here in PDF format for your convenience.

The review was undertaken in November 2005 on the first release version of PROJECT in a box, for a full review of all the latest functionality go to the Information centre.

Review by Projectresources.blogspot

The reviewers at the popular project resources blogspot chose Community Edition for their first PRINCE2 product review and said:

"The community edition has an easy user interface and you can navigate the processes in a tree structure. Based on authentic material licensed from the OGC (the owners of the PRINCE2™ manual) the application provides easy navigation and understanding of the processes."

Giving Community Edition an excellent 4 out of 5 rating.

“When considering software from a vendor to be implemented in a large organisation, several factors should be taken into consideration (cost, flexibility, support, reliability, etc). The products and services provided by Prosis are first class. I was very impressed by the software’s flexibility to be tailored to our needs and would definitely recommend Project in a Box as the number one choice."

Lino Rangel, Consultant - St. George’s Trust”

"The IS Branch of Humberside Police manages its work Programmes around PRINCE2 Project Methodology. Project in a box assists our Project Managers to deliver numerous Projects and Portfolios through applying 'Full' or 'Light' PRINCE2 practice.  Once a Project is started, Project in a box allows for controlled document sharing and up to date progress reporting across the IS Branch and Business Stakeholders via the Enterprise Hub web reporting facility.

Project in a Box also gives further benefits for Risk Management, Issue logging and Cost tracking of Projects as they pass through the PRINCE2 project lifecycle. It has provided a credible and low cost solution to the management of Projects, standardising work practices and improving the productivity of our Project Management Team."

Denis M Benham, ISB Project Manager - Information Services Branch, Humberside Police

“Project in a Box delivers a scalable P2 compliant project management environment that allows us to easily manage project documents and share information with both our management team and stakeholders alike. The addition of Enterprise Hub has provided a natural progression of the product allowing us to share project information over our Intranet making it easily accessible to our distributed teams.”

John Pettigrew, Information Services, Orkney Island Council

"The presentation [summer seminar] gave a good overall view on how to deliver full or tailored implementations of PRINCE2.  PIAB is the ONLY PRINCE2 tool that can easily be deployed and customized to a companies' preference for tailoring."

Ian Stanley, Programme Manager, Fujitsu

"We have been impressed with the functionality of Project in a box and the way that is closely aligned to the PRINCE2 processes providing an excellent project support capability."

Neil Bennett, Leicestershire County Council

"The Data Tool is perfect. I managed to export [my project] from Community Edition into Professional Edition without referring to the manual at all. I think this is the speciality of Prosis [PROJECT in a box]!"

Sankar Nagappan, Samsung

"Absolutely fantastic product. I have been working in IT for 12 years as a contractor and usually freeware will not deliver the claims made by the producer. This product however will certainly be recommended to other project managers within the NHS by myself."

John Winter, Project Manager, Easington Primary Care Trust

"I have found PRINCE2 great as a methodology to keep my projects delivering to plan. However getting and keeping colleagues and team members who aren't PRINCE2 trained engaged with projects has sometimes been difficult. PROJECT in a box has been a great help in this and has also helped me to keep my PRINCE2 knowledge and practices authentic."

Steve Clymer, Ramesys Limited

“Becoming a P2 practitioner is just one half of the story - your ability to apply your skills quickly, such as putting together your project support office, is critical to keeping momentum going and ensuring that you are effective within your team. PROJECT in a box does just that - from the moment you install the software, the structure and terminology are familiar. It's like the next logical step from the moment your training is complete.”

Mark Thornton, Sales Director, Helveta Ltd
