Features
The feature set for Personal Edition is exactly the same as that of the full PROJECT in a box as used by our corporate clients except that the login is restricted to a single user and the installed system cannot be networked with other PROJECT in a box (Manager or Team) licences.
This slight reduction in the functionality makes it
unsuitable for deployment in a corporate environment where shared
access is required, although the licence can be upgraded to a PROJECT
in a box server licence to support integration and shared projects
at a later date if required.
The fact that Personal Version provides a full functionality set for a
single user and is just £99 makes it very popular with
corporate evaluators and also individual PMs
or PRINCE2™ trainees in both corporate and private
situations.

P2 Guidance Module
Completing our reputation as the leading software vendor to provide Authentic PRINCE2™ material in their products, the P2 Guidance Module provides you with over 25,000 Authentic words from the actual PRINCE2™ manual formated into 70 bite size subjects on each process, sub-process,component and technique.
This Authentic PRINCE2™ material is licensed from OGC the owners of the methodology and shipped as a professional Microsoft help file. This will make it available via context sensitive help from Professional Edition client and also enable you to search it using the in built search and index tools, a valuable addition for the new or experienced PRINCE2™ user.
P2 Guidance Module is usually £25 but is
included for free when you purchase Personal Version.
Extensions
The Personal Version is the perfect partner for the lone PM delivering in a PRINCE2 environment, but what if you are looking for more? You can now extend your Personal Version in several ways as follows:Sharing content with colleagues
Normally the projects in Personal Version can be accessed via
the full Client interface or the Enterprise Hub by only the named admin
user. However with the EH 10 user extension pack you can give up
to ten named colleagues view only access to project documents and other
features via the Enterprise Hub. This enables colleagues to view
the latest/current versions of documents, view published reports
for the project, use the search etc all under control of the
permissions model giving you unpresidented control over who sees what.
This £100 extension allows ten named users to have view only
access so you can share with your colleagues, customers and suppliers
as you need. If they want to change a document they can email you
and you can manage it out and back from them using the great Outlook
integration features in your standard Personal Version.

Managing Successful ProgrammesYour Personal Version comes with P2ABC which includes the Complete Authentic PRINCE2 method and lighter pre scaled versions for your smaller less complex projects, and the PPP Proposal Preparation Process to help you manage your large proposals more effectively.
You can now also purchase a Method Template for Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) which gives you all the templates for the methodology set out from familiar diagrams and with the majority of the manual linked in for easy reference. As usual with PROJECT in a box we have licensed all this material so you get the Authentic content you will have been taught on your course or read up in your manual.
This £250 extension allows you to use the MSP method template on a Personal Version system as a support for learning or to run a personal Programme Support Office. To add the MSP method template to a multi user server is £1,000.

Deployment
Once you have purchased your licence we will email you account details and joining instructions and you can then download the installer and a range of guidance documentation and other helpful resources from your customer area on our website. You can also use this facility to download patches, upgrades and obtain support if required later.
As you would expect, we have made sure that deploying Personal Version is as easy as possible and requires the minimum of technical understanding.
Personal Version is the simplest possible PROJECT in a box installation requiring just a local server and a client located on the same computer. To operate the server requires the .NET framework, a local webserver and MS SQL database and all these are included bundled into the installer. This means that all you need for a standard installation is local admin rights over your PC and internet access (for licensing), then just select 'typical' on the installer and it will do the rest.

You can also choose to have training to help you get the most from your Personal version.
Training is provided in hourly sessions via a web meeting system which allows you to see and interact with the trainers desktop and software while having this explained to you and asking questions. Provided as one to one hourly sessions these can be customised to your particular requirements and are delivered the same expert trainers who deliver our corporate courses.
You can purchase a one hour personal training session anytime via our Web store for just £100, or a package of two hours training can be purchased as a bundle with your Personal Version for just £249 +VAT (a saving of 25% on the training).

[Top]Supporting Project Migration from the Community Edition
We know that many of our PROJECT in a box Community Edition upgrade to the Personal Version to take advantage of the many additional benefits and want to transfer their existing projects with them. To help with this we provide a Data Tool utility which is available from the customers Download Centre. The Data Tool lets the user migrate their projects from Community to the PROJECT in a box Server (part of Personal Version) and between different PROJECT in a box servers.
