A Guide to Benefit Realisation Management

Benefits realisation management is about knowing where you want to get to, knowing how to get there and knowing you have arrived. That means:

  • Identifying objectives and benefits to clarify the reasons why you are undertaking the project and what you expect to get from it;
  • Designing enablers and planning business change required to achieve the benefits;
  • Establishing monitoring and measurement mechanisms to track progress against realisation targets

The Benefit Realisation Management approach brings a structured approach that is aligned to the project management lifecycle stages...  Read the full article now...

Beating the Credit Crunch

Hearing or reading about the Credit Crunch everywhere you turn it is difficult to ignore so why not think about what you can do to bounce back quicker?  If you are feeling the pinch we have a few suggestions here that will help:

There is such a thing as a free dinner - Free stuff from reputable sources is worth having.  Our PRINCE2 Primer provides a whole host of free materials and guidance on PRINCE2 and other Project Management topics including a free Project Health Check which is well worth a look.

Cut your suit to fit your cloth - It was very noticeable at the recent Project Challenge expo how popular our stand was in comparison to many of the traditional full PPM solutions providers. Many of the delegates hadn't considered us before and were openly surprised how much of their wish list could be met by a 'low cost' solution and in-particular how much of the customisation they could do in-house.  Take a look at the tours or contact us for a free consultation...

What you know... - Making sure your have the right credentials is very important, if you have been dabbling in PRINCE2 and want to move to accreditation our great Supported Learning packages are perfect.  Cost effective distance learning with tutor support and a number of choices about how to take the exams.  We can offer Foundation only, Practitioner conversion or Combined from just £399...

...and who you know - Business networking can be a great tool and often we don't have enough time for it when we are busy.  Sites like LinkedIn are booming at present because they offer a great opportunity to promote what you have to offer and to keep up with latest industry developments.  You might like to try the PROJECT in a box user group or the PRINCE2 and MSP groups on LinkedIn as a start...

And if the worst comes to the worst don't worry we can point you in the direction of some great roles waiting to be filled.  Contract or permanent, Wellingtone has some of the best jobs available in the UK or overseas.  Take a look now or register your CV.
