Version 3.0 provides a powerful new dashboard capability as well as extensive task, plan and resource management tools and associated reporting extensions.  You can do all this just by adding a standard Microsoft project plan or using an excel plan template.  Link tasks and resources to users and you can receive automatic notifications about the status of your tasks.
